Well, I didn't get an answer persay, but I do LOVE the new Dr. She is super nice, young and not snooty (which may just mean that they hear the same thing over and over again...). Either way, she is super nice...and was very non-judgemental given I had pretty much a break down in her office. I did all the regular stuff with the nurse (blood pressure, Q & A, etc...) and then Dr Covert came in. She asked me to do a brief run-down of my health history which pertains at all to what I was in for for the consult. It actually felt sort of nice to do that because no Dr has ever asked for all that info - and it reminds me that I'm not crazy, I really have had issues!
Right as we got to the recent health issues, I started to go in to the weight issue - and completely started sobbing. She asked if I thought I was depressed and I said no, I really don't, I just think it is a serious frustration for me that gets me down at times. Most of the time actually these days.
So - I'll spare you the dialogue, but we talked through some symptoms and options - we are switching the pill to Yaz - yup, the one on the commercial. She said that my body just runs well on its own and needs something with a little more oomph to make it run differently.
We talked a bit about trying to get pregnant soon and she said that she thought that was awesome, but to make sure I can concentrate on taking care of myself the next few months - stress, weight and other unhealthy factors effect eggs and ability to conceive. Duh right? Makes total sense in a different way when someone you want to hear it from says it.
So - I went home after that, walked the dog, did laundry and cleaned up around the house. Then Jason came home and I started crying again because I just felt badly about being stubborn and a bit nasty the night before - he said it was okay, kissed me, hugged me and was just who and how I needed him to be.
